Safety
Keys and Alarms
HomePro House Cleaning takes extreme measures to protect your key and/or alarm code. We store your alarm code in a discreet folder with no ties to your address.  We also store your key in a lock box and only retrieve it on the scheduled day of your cleaning.  Your key is only marked with a number or code for identification purposes and is never tied to your address.  Please note, if your alarm system is complicated, we would prefer that you leave the alarm off on the day of your cleaning.

If you choose to wait for us to arrive, instead of giving us a key and/or alarm code, please be aware that there may be a small arrival window. Although we strive to set your appointment to the same time each week, things happen that may affect our time of arrival and we do not want to keep you waiting.  We will do our very best to be on time.


NOTE:  If this is your last scheduled clean with us, please be present so that we can return your key from our hand to yours.  We do not feel comfortable leaving your key outside of your home.

Employees
Our staff members are very important to us and we are very concerned with their safety while they are cleaning for you.  We prohibit the use of ladders or heavy lifting (anything over 35lbs), therefore if you would like us to clean behind your appliances or furniture, such as refrigerator, stove or sofa, please have the items moved prior to our arrival to allow us access to those areas.

Bleach
We do not use bleach, nor do we bring bleach into your home.  If you request that we use bleach in your home, please supply us with a bottle and note that we do not take any liability for any damage that may be caused due to the use of bleach.


Oven Cleaner
For health, safety and liability reasons we only clean the inside of ovens by hand using non-toxic cleaners.  We do not use the self-cleaning function or spray the oven with oven cleaner.  To save time, you can use the self-cleaning function or spray the oven yourself well before the cleaner arrives.  If you do, please follow the instructions in your oven manual or on the oven cleaner container carefully.

Add-On's to Regular Cleaning Plan
"Extra" Cleaning Tasks
Once we have set up your basic regular weekly cleaning schedule, you will be able to add on "Extra" Cleaning Tasks at an additional cost based on the time it takes us to do them.  Any "Extra" Cleaning Tasks done after your basic regular cleaning will be charged at $25.00/hr plus tax.

"Extra" Mess
If we arrive at your home on the scheduled day of your cleaning to find an abnormal amount of cleaning is needed (due to recent company, party or holiday mess), we will clean as much as we can within the hours scheduled to clean your home.  You will also be contacted to discuss having us in again for an "Extra" clean to help get your house back in order.


Payments, Refunds and Cancellations
Payments
HomePro House Cleaning accepts PayPal, cash or cheques prior to each scheduled clean. We ask that cheques be made out to HomePro House Cleaning and that any cash/cheques be left in a sealed envelope, in a designated area.  Payment should include the cost of your regular cleaning plan, any "Extra" Cleaning Tasks that were done the week prior, plus the applicable tax.  If our staff arrives to clean your home and there is no payment waiting for us, we reserve the right to leave the house without cleaning it and will need to reschedule the clean over the next two business days to avoid the cancellation fee.  See below for cancellations.


A $10 non-payment fee will be due at your next cleaning if your payment is not made on the scheduled service day.


A $25 fee is applied to all returned cheques.


Refunds
Because we offer a service and not a product, we do not offer refunds. We do however offer additional services to fix any dissatisfaction you may have with our service.  We can either arrange to come back over the next two business days or we can add extra cleaning time to your next visit.  Either way, our aim is for your complete satisfaction. We won't be satisfied until you're satisfied.


Cancellations
Any cancellations or rescheduling must be completed two business days in advance of your reserved time frame.  If HomePro House Cleaning receives less than two business days notice, or if we cannot access your home on the scheduled day of your cleaning, a $50 cancellation fee will be added on to your next scheduled clean.


Parking
Parking
Please provide a parking space for your cleaner.  Parking fees will be added to your total if a space is not available. Thank you.


Coupons/Discounts
Coupons/Discounts
"15% Off Your First Cleaning" is not eligible on a "one time only" cleaning and cannot be combined with any other coupon/discount offers.
