Q.   If I decide to have regular service, do I need to sign a contract?
A.   No we do not require you to sign anything.

Q.   How do you accept payment?
A.  HomePro House Cleaning accepts PayPal, cash or cheques prior to each scheduled clean. We ask that any cheques be made out to HomePro House Cleaning and that any cash/cheques be left in a sealed envelope, in a designated area.  If our staff arrives to clean your home and there is not a payment waiting, we reserve the right to leave the house without cleaning it and will need to reschedule over the next two business days to avoid a cancellation fee.   See Policies for more details.

Q.   Do you provide all of the supplies and equipment?
A.   Although we will bring all the supplies and equipment needed to do the job, the only thing we do ask is that if you request us to do any laundry/ironing you provide your own laundry care supplies.
  
All of the products we do supply are "certified" green unless you request otherwise.

Q.   How many cleaners do you send?
A.  Only one cleaner is assigned to the responsibility of cleaning your home.  We never send teams or crews of cleaners into your home.  When you call to schedule your first visit, we will select a qualified cleaning person for your home.  This first visit will serve as an opportunity for your cleaner to demonstrate the standard of cleanliness you expect.


Once you are established and satisfied with a particular cleaner, we will send the same cleaner back to you each time; the cleaner has met you and is familiar with your home and your individual expectations.  You will have your own cleaning person...someone you are comfortable with and who understands your needs.


Unless your cleaner is away for some reason, we respect that your home is private and will keep you informed if the person entering your home is different than your regularly scheduled cleaner.


Q.   Do you screen your employees?
A. We carefully screen all of our employees, checking references and also doing background checks.  All of our employees come with previous experience as professional house cleaners and each one goes through training with HomePro House Cleaning.  They must also speak/read English, have a good professional manner and wear a HomePro House Cleaning uniform.


Q.   What happens if one of your employees gets injured in my home?
All staff members are covered by our comprehensive liability insurance.  And as they are employees of HomePro House Cleaning, the Company is wholly responsible for the employees Worker's Compensation coverage.

Q.   What if something in my home gets damaged?
A.   Accidents do happen. Please call our office and we will be glad to resolve the matter to your satisfaction.  After all we are insured.

Q.   Are your cleanings checked?
A.   Yes, we send our supervisor to periodically check the quality of our cleanings.

Q.   Is your service guaranteed?
A.  Absolutely! If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of our work, we offer additional services to fix any dissatisfaction you may have had with our service.  We can either arrange to come back over the next couple of days or you can have extra cleaning time added to your next cleaning.

Q.   How do you access my home?
A.   We recommend that you be home the first time so that you can meet the cleaner.

As many of our customers are working and cannot be home, HomePro House Cleaning must be able to access your home on the scheduled dates to provide our services. The most convenient option is to leave your key and/or alarm code with us. We provide a safe and secure lock box in which your key is kept and you will be given the code or number assigned to your key. There will be nothing on the key that would indicate whose key it is.

Alternatively, although we advise against this for security reasons, we could enter through your garage (with code). You could leave the key under a mat, leave a side door open or someone could let us into your home.  See Policies for more details.

Q.   Can I feel secure that my key will not be in the hands of every employee?
A.  On the day of your cleaning, the key to your home is removed from the lock box by our manager.  The manager is the only one that will have a key to the lock box.  Your key is placed in a cash pouch that is located in the cleaner's book with the service report for your home.  They key is then removed only by the cleaner to open and then lock your door.  Upon returning to the office, your key is checked back in and locked back up in the lock box.

Q.   Do I need to do anything before the cleaning?
A.  We simply ask that you take a few minutes before your scheduled cleaning to do the following:
  • Put away clothes
  • Put dishes in the dishwasher
  • Organize or put away important papers and items
 This way the cleaner will have more time to do what they do best - clean your home.

Q.   If I have a pet(s), do I need to secure them while your employee is cleaning?
A.   If you will not be home while your cleaning is being done, we do ask that you introduce your pet(s) to our employee on the first visit.  Many of our customers also show our cleaners where the animal treats are.  This way, when the cleaner arrives they can give the pet(s) a treat and go about their business.  Other than the possible odd exception (usually handled on the initial visit) we should not have a problem working around your pet(s).

Q.   What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?
A.  If your scheduled cleaning falls on a major holiday, we will contact your in advance to reschedule your service at your convenience.

Q.   What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A.   Any cancellations or rescheduling must be completed two business days in advance of your reserved time frame.  If HomePro House Cleaning receives less than two business days notice, or if we cannot access your home on the scheduled day of your cleaning, a $50 cancellation fee will be added on to your next scheduled clean.  See Policies  for more details.
